Ω 2018 “Keeping OC Orange” Citrus Collection Project Ω
On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, starting at 9:00 AM at the O’Neill Museum on Los Rios Street, the OC Association of Realtors will be picking the ripe Valencia oranges to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank at the Great Park in Irvine.
This is the second year that Irvine realtor Jeff Moon, The Moon Group, has harvested the oranges for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Jeff has also donated his labor to the Silvas Rehabilitation project and is a supporter of the Historical Society.
His group of 10 or so OC Realtors will pick the citrus, load into crates and a truck will pick up the crates and deliver them to the Great Park. Two years ago, Jeff and his grandson harvested over 2,000 pounds of Valencia oranges for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The Society is thankful to Jeff for his outreach efforts to the underserved in our county.
